Working with JenniBean Advisory
Who does JenniBean Advisory work with?
JenniBean Advisory specializes in providing organizational development services to municipalities, health centres, police services and not-for-profits across Southern Ontario. Engagements may support an entire organization, a department, a leadership group, or an intact team.
Do you work exclusively with municipalities?
While municipal government and police services are JenniBean Advisory's primary area of specialization, JenniBean Advisory also works with other public and private sector organizations.
What size organizations do you work with?
JenniBean Advisory works with organizations of varying sizes. Services are customized to reflect the audience, organizational context and objectives rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
What types of employees or groups do you work with?
Depending on the engagement, programs can be designed for:

Programs & Customization
Are programs customized?
Yes. Customization is an important part of the JenniBean approach. Before an engagement, we'll discuss your objectives, audience, organizational context and any specific challenges or considerations that should inform the program. Reasonable customization is included in the engagement fee.
Absolutely. An existing JenniBean Advisory program can be adapted to reflect your organization's needs, terminology, examples, priorities and audience. If you have a challenge that doesn't fit neatly into an existing offering, we can also discuss developing a different approach.
Can you customize an existing program for our organization?
Can you develop a completely new program?
Yes. If your organization has a particular learning or organizational development need, JenniBean Advisory can work with you to determine whether a customized program, facilitated workshop or other solution would be appropriate.
What's the difference between a speaking engagement and a workshop?
Speaking engagements are designed to introduce ideas, share practical insights and generate reflection and conversation. Workshops are generally more interactive and application-focused. Participants may work through exercises, discuss a real organizational issue, develop solutions and create practical next steps. Speaking engagements introduce and explore. Workshops explore and build.
Delivery
Are services available in person or virtually?
Yes. Many JenniBean Advisory services can be delivered in person or virtually, depending on the program and your organization's needs. Some highly interactive team-building or facilitated sessions may be better suited to in-person delivery. We can discuss the best format during the initial conversation.
Where do you provide in-person services?
JenniBean Advisory serves organizations throughout Southern Ontario. Travel requirements, if applicable, will be discussed and clearly identified before an engagement is confirmed.
How many participants can attend?
It depends on the service. Speaking engagements can accommodate larger audiences, while workshops and certain team-building activities may benefit from smaller groups to allow for meaningful participation and discussion. We'll recommend an appropriate format based on your objectives and anticipated number of participants.
How long are programs?
Speaking engagements are generally 60–120 minutes. Workshops, communication programs, team-building sessions and facilitated engagements can range from a few hours to a full day or multiple sessions, depending on the objectives.Change management engagements vary according to the size and complexity of the organizational change.
Pricing & Engagements
How are services priced?
JenniBean Advisory uses straightforward, flat-rate pricing wherever practical. Fees are established in advance so organizations understand the cost of the engagement before work begins. The quoted fee generally includes reasonable customization, program materials and post-program support.
Do you charge extra for customization?
Reasonable customization is generally included in the quoted fee. If a request involves significant additional program development or substantially changes the agreed scope, we'll discuss it with you before additional work is undertaken. No surprises.
Are materials included?
Yes. Relevant participant materials and resources are generally included as part of the engagement. Depending on the program, these may include workbooks, templates, planning tools, checklists or tip sheets that participants can continue to use after the session.
Are travel expenses included?
Travel requirements and any associated expenses will be identified and agreed upon in advance as part of the engagement.
Do you provide a written quote or proposal?
Yes. Once we've discussed your needs, JenniBean Advisory can provide a written proposal outlining the recommended approach, scope, deliverables and fee.
After the Program
What happens after an engagement?
The goal isn't simply to deliver a successful session. It's to help participants apply what they've learned afterward. Depending on the engagement, JenniBean Advisory can provide reasonable post-program review, feedback and follow-up support. Participants may also receive practical tools, templates and tip sheets that can be referenced and used after the program.
Can you provide follow-up sessions?
Yes. Follow-up sessions can be incorporated into the original engagement or arranged afterward to reinforce learning, review progress, provide coaching or address emerging needs.
Can you evaluate whether a program was successful?
Yes.Evaluation can be incorporated into the program design. Depending on the engagement, this may include participant feedback, learning assessments, application measures, follow-up discussions or other approaches appropriate to the program's objectives.

What happens after we contact you?
We'll begin with a conversation about your organization, audience, objectives, timing and the challenge or opportunity you'd like to address. From there, JenniBean Advisory can recommend an approach and, where appropriate, provide a proposal outlining the scope, deliverables, timing and fee. There is no obligation simply because you've started a conversation.
How far in advance should we contact you?
As early as possible is always helpful, particularly for customized programs, facilitated workshops or larger organizational initiatives. However, if you have a shorter timeline, please reach out. Availability will depend on the nature of the engagement and the date required.
How do we get started?
Simple. Tell me what's happening. You don't need a fully developed scope of work or even know exactly which service you need. Let's start with a conversation and determine what would be most useful for your organization.
